Sam Ennor-Pengelly
Samantha (Sam) Ennor-Pengelly is a Director and Head of the Probate Department at Earl & Crocker Solicitors. Sam has been with the firm since 2005, having joined as an Office Junior before progressing to the Probate Department in 2013. She studied law alongside her career and qualified as a Solicitor in August 2025.
Sam specialises in private client work and has particular experience in supporting elderly and vulnerable clients and their families. She advises on a wide range of matters, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Probate and estate administration, as well as matters relating to care home fees.
Sam takes a practical and compassionate approach to her work, recognising that clients often come to her at particularly difficult or important times in their lives. Whether helping a family following a bereavement, advising on arrangements for the future or assisting someone who may need additional support, she takes the time to understand each client's individual circumstances and explain matters clearly and sensitively.
Her commitment to providing a high standard of client service has been recognised professionally. In 2024, Sam was named Cornwall Law Society’s Private Client Lawyer of the Year, having been awarded second place in 2023. She was also shortlisted for Paralegal of the Year in 2020. Sam and her team also were Highly Commended in the Cornwall Law Society’s Team of the Year Award in 2025. Sam previously served on the Cornwall Law Society Committee and chaired the Cornwall Junior Lawyers Division from 2016 to 2021.
Sam is primarily based at the firm’s Liskeard office and also covers appointments at the Looe and Callington offices. Home appointments can be arranged for clients who are unable to attend the firm’s offices, subject to an additional fee.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with her young family and dog. She has been a member of St John Ambulance since the age of 11 and currently serves as Unit Manager for the Badger and Cadet units in Liskeard.
