Samantha (Sam) joined the firm in 2005 as our Office Junior. After completing her secretarial courses, she became a Paralegal in our Probate Department in 2013 and is now Head of the Department, supervised by Michele May. Sam studied law for several years and qualified as a Solicitor in August 2025.

Sam has a particular passion for supporting elderly clients and offers assistance with:

• Wills

• Powers of Attorney

• Probate matters

Clients appreciate Sam’s sympathetic and knowledgeable approach, whether guiding them through bereavement, preparing a Will, or setting up a Power of Attorney. She understands that every client is unique and takes care to put people at ease. Based primarily in our Liskeard office, Sam also covers Looe and Callington and can provide home visits when needed (for an additional fee).

Her commitment to client service has been recognised with several awards: in 2024 she was named Cornwall Law Society’s Private Client Lawyer of the Year, following second place in 2023. She was also shortlisted for Paralegal of the Year in 2020. Sam served on the Cornwall Law Society Committee and chaired the Cornwall Junior Lawyers Division from 2016 to 2021.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys time with her young family and dog. She has been a member of St John Ambulance since the age of 11 and now serves as Unit Manager for the Badger and Cadet units in Liskeard.
